Finding these comic strips is extremely difficult, since the only way to get them was to cut them out of daily newspapers. Someone did just that in the 1930s with these! We auctioned them in 2022, and they sold for $585. The winning bidder sadly has passed away, and so they are being re-auctioned for his estate, and of course, they may sell for far under the price he paid. Measurements: 10" x 13"Of course, Seein' Stars was a newspaper comic strip in which cartoonist Feg Murray caricatured current Hollywood celebrities, often including many sports figures, in the style of Robert L. Ripley's Believe It or Not. The comic strip ran from 1933 to 1951, and the items in this lot are from the 1930s. Included are pages covering Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy, Tarzan, Boris Karloff, Jean Harlow, Rudolph Valentino, Marlene Dietrich, and many more (see our images). Condition: good to very good.
