He was a top movie star in the 1960s, including in The Great Escape. He had great success in TV's "Maverick" and "The Rockford Files", and he remained a leading man even into his later years. Some of his other roles include: Grand Prix, The Children's Hour, Boys' Night Out, Wheeler Dealers, Move Over Darling, Marlowe, Support Your Local Sheriff, Murphy's Romance (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Space Cowboys, and The Notebook. He passed away in 2014 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that the index card has been personally autographed (signed) by James Garner and it was matted with a color REPRO still. Note that our consignor obtained this from an antique store in Portland, Oregon many years ago, and he does not know how the autograph was obtained, but he (and we) believe it to be authentic.
