An Original Vintage Folded World War II Poster (measures 29 1/2" x 43 3/4" [75 x 111 cm]) (Learn More) Save Waste Fats for Gunpowder, the 1943 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("Rush them to Your Meat Dealer") encouraging the conservation of fats to help produce gunpowder for the war effort, and featuring art of men operating a huge cannon. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned two in all our years of auctioning and the last time was 11 years ago! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that we were just consigned a wonderful collection of 59 war posters, most from World War II (which we are auctioning in 59 separate auctions)! Included in this collection are some posters we have never auctioned before, and some we have only auctioned once or twice before (sometimes only many years ago). This is a wonderful opportunity to obtain some or all of these historic posters, many of which have great images!). Condition: good to very good. The poster has tiny defects, smudges, a few dot stains and some tape stains around the edges (the original tape was not used for any restoration purpose).
