Circus, the circus poster encouraging people to visit a traveling circus and featuring classic circus-themed art! The Cole Bros. Circus was founded in 1884 by William Washington Cole. In the 1930s and 1940s, the circus often worked with noted animal trainer and actor Clyde Beatty (who owned his own show). In 1957, investors merged the two into the Clyde Beatty - Cole Bros. Circus and the show became a major player in the circus industry for over 20 years. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this circus poster was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Some of these items can ONLY be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. On some of them (for example if it is a size that might ordinarily be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet), the reason it is in this auction is specifically because we feel it either CAN'T be rolled or because we feel it would be a mistake to roll it, because it might well damage the item. Condition: very good. Both pieces of the poster have some minor creases and tiny tears along portions of some edges, but overall, especially given its size, it is in pretty nice condition.
