An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style B French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 46" x 63" [117 x 160 cm]) (Learn More) Le Sicilien (literally translates to "The Sicilian"), the 1958 Pierre Chevalier French crime comedy starring Fernand Raynaud, Pascale Roberts, Jean-Marie Amato, Marcel Bozzufi, Jean-Roger Caussimon, Evelyne Gabrielli, Jess Hahn, Judith Magre, and Raymond Devos. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Constantin Belinsky Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie! Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had a Canadian censor stamp in the top center background area, tiny paper loss at some crossfolds, and some separation, minor fold wear, and some tiny paper loss on some foldlines and around the edges of the poster. There was a 4" diagonal tear in the right of the bottom border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, (and any restorer could likely touch them up without re-backing the poster). Note that, after the poster was backed, it received some slight water staining in areas of the left border, as well as some creases, and they extend into the edges of the yellow border of the poster itself.
