An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14 1/4" x 21 3/4" [36 x 55 cm]) (Learn More) Traumstrasse der Welt (released in English-speaking countries as "Dream Road of the World"), the 1958 Hans Domnick German documentary about the Pan-American Highway. Surprisingly, most people are either mostly unaware or completely unaware of this massive project, which has a road running all the way from Alaska to the southern tip of South America, and one can drive the entire distance (except for a tiny segment in Panama) by car! It was originally proposed as a railroad line in 1889, but that never happened, and it was begun in 1923 as a motor road, and Mexico was the first country to complete their segment, which occurred in 1950. It is still a "work in progress"! It passes through hugely diverse climates, which represented huge obstacles to those building the roads. Artist: ITK Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good.
