An Original 1968 (from the first release of this movie in Poland) Vintage Theatrical Folded Polish Movie Poster (23x33; measures 22 1/2" x 32 1/2" [57 x 83 cm]) (Learn More)

Hori, Ma Panenko (released in the U.S. in 1968 as "The Firemens Ball"), the 1967 Milos Forman Czechoslovakian/Italian fireman firefighter romantic screwball comedy (nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award; about a group of volunteer firemen who throw a party for their boss and invite their entire town!) starring Jan Vostrcil, Josef Sebanek, Josef Valnoha, Frantisek Debelka, Josef Kolb, Vaclav Stockel, and Josef Svet. Note that this was the third of three Czech movies director Forman made between 1964 and 1967. That brought him to the attention of Hollywood, and in 1971, he made his first English language movie, "Taking Off", which was critically acclaimed, which led to "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" four years later, and a very illustrious career after (but Forman took years between projects, so he did not have a large output, only directing 13 features in all).

Artist: Jerzy Flisak
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. There is a 4" tear in the upper right edge and there is much tattering and some paper loss around the edges of the poster. There are several tape repairs on the back of the poster around the edges. There are some creases and scuff marks scattered throughout the poster (mostly along the foldlines and edges). Fortunately, the poster's defects are mostly confined to background and border areas and after linenbacking, the poster will display nicely with little paint restoration needed!
