An Original 1963 (from the first release of this movie in Japan) Vintage Folded Japanese "B0" Poster (38x62; measures 38" x 62" [97 x 157 cm]) The Miracle Worker, the classic 1962 Arthur Penn (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) blind/deaf teacher biography melodrama ("'The Miracle Worker' is a terrifying and beautiful motion picture..."; "A great motion picture"; "Screenplay by William Gibson based upon his Stage Play"; the real life story of Helen Keller, who became blind and deaf at an early age, but thanks to her remarkable teacher, Annie Sullivan, she became educated and graduated from college and became a worldwide celebrity!; the movie depicts every detail of how Sullivan had to first establish contact with Keller, a harrowing process for both teacher and student) starring Anne Bancroft (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as Annie Sullivan), Patty Duke (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Helen Keller; billed as "introducing Patty Duke"), Victor Jory, Inga Swenson, Andrew Prine, and Kathleen Comegys NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! This poster is printed on 0 sheet and measures 38" x 62" [97 x 157 cm]. It measures quite differently from Japanese two-panel posters, which are exactly twice the size of a Japanese "B2", which we refer to as "Japanese two-panel posters". We do not know if there is an official Japanese term for this size poster, which varies slightly in measurements, and which sometimes can be found in one section or in two sections. If someone e-mails us further information about this size, we will post it here. Note that this poster was folded oddly at one time but it can be opened up and sent rolled in a tube, but that tube would measure 40" wide. An alternative to that is to fold it in the way it was folded, but that only brings the poster down to 19 1/2" x 31", so that it would need to shipped in a large flat package that measures approximately 21" x 33". That will be the choice of the new owner of this very rare poster. Condition: good. The poster has ink transfer staining throughout from being folded too quickly after the printing process. The edges were folded back at one time and there are some pinholes and tears around the edges. There are some diagonal creases scattered throughout.
