An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Dizzy Pilots, the 1943 Jules White World War II (WWII) airplane aviation slapstick comedy short (the Stooges are "The Wrong Brothers", obviously a parody of "The Wright Brothers", and they are trying to invent a new airplane that will get them exempted from the draft; but their plane is a flop, and they are drafted, and they have constant run ins with their tough drill sergeant) starring The Three Stooges (Curly Howard, Larry Fine, and Moe Howard; as the Wrong Brothers!), Charles Dorety, Richard Fiske, Judy Malcolm, Bobby Barber, and Charles Dorety. Note that like with many later Stooge shorts, this one reused much footage from the 1940 short "Boobs in Arms", and in fact, the tough drill sergeant, played by Richard Fiske, only appeared in the earlier movie, and they made clever use of the archival footage to disguise that fact. Also, note that this was the very first Three Stooges short to have a sound effect when someone's eye was poked! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that Three Stooges fans have always wanted to own original release lobby cards from their comedy shorts that show Curly, but they are incredibly rare! In all our years of auctioning, we have only previously auctioned eight first release lobby cards from Three Stooges shorts that show Curly (one title card and seven scenes), and now we have been consigned SIX lobby cards with Curly (two title cards and four scenes), and we are auctioning them in six separate auctions. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. The card was once lightly partially folded down the middle. It had tiny pinholes around the edges and one near the center of the card in the plane body. Someone pressed and flattened the card and performed restoration to the pinholes without backing the card. The light vertical fold is virtually invisible from the front, and the restoration is really expert, and is not at all noticeable. Learn More about condition grades
