An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Up in Daisy's Penthouse, the 1953 Jules White slapstick comedy short ("They're blowing up! - a gale of guffaws!"; "A Columbia Short-Subject Presentation"; in this entry, Shemp's father is about to marry a gold digger, so Shemp poses as his dad, to break them up) starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Shemp Howard, as both father and son), Connie Cezon (in the title role as Daisy Flowers), John Merton, Jack Kenney, and Johnny Kascier. Note that this movie was a remake of the 1937 short "3 Dumb Clucks", and it reused footage from that short, even though the original short starred Curly in the role that Shemp played in this short. Important Added Info: Note that we have only twice before auctioned this one-sheet, and we think those were the same poster being reconsigned, and therefore this is only the second example of this poster we have ever auctioned! Condition: good. There is much separation in the middle of the top fold with tiny paper loss at the top crossfold. There are tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. There are pinholes around the edges and paper loss in the bottom right corner. There are some faint stains around the edges. There is a 3" vertical tear in the upper left white background area below the "E" of "THERE". Obviously this poster can be "rescued" by a talented restorer and will display really well afterwards, but bear the above in mind and look at our super-sized image before bidding.
