An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Excuse my Dust, the 1951 Roy Rowland & Buster Keaton turn-of-the-century automobile car racing sports romantic love triangle musical comedy ("MGM's Technicolor song and fun film!"; "6 New Songs by famed musical comedy composer Arthur Schwartz and noted lyricist Dorothy Fields"; "Sensational Dance Number!") starring Red Skelton, Sally Forrest, Macdonald Carey, William Demarest, Monica Lewis, Raymond Walburn, and Jane Darwell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). There was paper loss at the crossfolds and small tears and smudges down the top 1/4 of the vertical foldline. There was a 4" uneven tear in the top center of the poster just above the "M" of "MY" extending into the right end of the "Y". The poster had other minor fold and border wear in addition to the above. The person who restored the poster did a good job of touching up the above defects. Overall, the poster looks nice, and the restoration is only noticeable from inches away. Learn More about condition grades
