An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded International One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) the international theatrical release of Columbo: Ransom for a Dead Man (also released as "Ransom for a Dead Man"), the 1971 Richard Irving crime detective thriller ("She had committed the perfect crime... now he had to catch her in the perfect trap... or be victim number two!"; This movie was the pilot filmed for the "Columbo" television [TV] series) starring Peter Falk (in the title role as Columbo), Lee Grant, John Fink, Harold Gould, and Patricia Mattick. Note that the first Columbo TV movie was made in 1968 and was called "Prescription: Murder", but was not intended to be part of a series. It was very well received, and three years later, this movie was made as the pilot for the TV series, even though it was the "second" Columbo movie. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was stamped "FOREIGN" which means it was printed for use outside the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "DOMESTIC" for use within the United States).
