Franklin Cuba silent cockfighting alcohol bootlegging rum runner romantic comedy ("By Nina Wilcox Putnam"; about the daughter of a Cuban bootlegger who meets an American revenue agent, and naturally, they fall in love; she has the odd habit of dressing as a man and sneaking into cockfights!) starring Bebe Daniels, Pat O'Malley, James Gordon, Martha Mattox, and Gertrude Norman. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and tiny tears and tiny dots of paper loss on parts of some foldlines. The borders of the poster were pretty tattered, but it was almost only in the blank borders, with just a few tears extending into the image. Overall, the image area of poster was in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but the borders had many problems. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer only did rudimentary restoration to the borders and painted over part of the borders with a brown paint that does not completely cover the borders, likely rightfully assuming that the borders will not show when the poster is framed. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
