An Original Vintage Chapter #1 (Phantom Invaders) Lobby Card Bag (measures 11 1/4" x 14 1/4" [29 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) King of the Mounties, the 1942 William Witney World War II (WWII) Canada Canadian Royal Mounted Police Mountie military action adventure serial ("A Republic Serial in 12 Chapters"; loosely "Based on Zane Grey's 'King of the Royal Mounted'"; about the Mounties in Canada helping the inventor of a new plane detector keep it out of Nazi and Japanese hands during World War II; the Japanese kill the inventor, but his pretty young daughter helps to save the invention, and finds romance too!) starring Allan 'Rocky' Lane (in the title role as Sgt. Dave King), Gilbert Emery, Russell Hicks, Peggy Drake, George Irving, Francis Ford, Anthony Warde, Bradley Page, Douglass Dumbrille, Nestor Paiva, Abner Biberman, Wilhelm von Brincken (billed as "William Vaughn"), and William Bakewell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that from the 1910s through the 1950s, lobby card sets were sent in brown bags that had the names of the movie and credits printed on the outside. The purpose of the bag was to protect the lobby cards, and they served that purpose well! Since the vast majority of lobby card sets get broken up and sold by the individual card, few of these original printed brown bags survive, except in the cases where someone preserved the entire set with the bag. We don't know if there are "brown bag collectors", but it certainly seems that the printed brown bag from legendary movies would be the most desirable, and ones from lesser movies would have lesser value! Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades
