An Original Vintage Cigar Box Label (measures 6 3/4" x 7 3/4" [17 x 20 cm]) (Learn More) Spirit of St. Louis, the 1920s cigar label ("Long filler imported Sumatra wrapper"; "First flight - New York to Paris - May 20-21, 1927 - 33 1/2 Hours") that features art of the Spirit of St. Louis, the aircraft Charles Lindbergh used to make the first non-stop flight across the Atlantic Ocean, so obviously these cigars date from soon after that. Important Added Info: Note that many years ago, when smoking cigars was quite popular, people would purchase boxes of them, and the box would have an attractive label glued to the lid. Sometimes people acquired labels that were not glued, and they can be very attractive when displayed, but they are quite rare (in all our years of auctioning, we have auctioned a tiny number of them). We were consigned a collection of 62 unglued labels, mostly in excellent condition, and we are auctioning them now, in 62 separate auctions. Condition: very good to fine.
