An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Cab Calloway was a famous black African American jazz musician, bandleader who appeared in some movies from 1930s to the 1990s (and his music was used in several Fleischer Bros. cartoons), including: Minnie the Moocher, Cabin in the Sky, The Blues Brothers, and The Cincinnati Kid. He passed away in 1994 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that the still shows a great candid image of Cab Calloway performing with his band on the stage of the CBS Radio set (there is a CBS logo at the back of the stage and Calloway is holding a CBS microphone). We know this is from 1946, because we previously sold a non-deluxe still that was similar to this that had a snipe attached that gave the exact date, while this one only has "CAB CALLOWAY" stamped on the back.
