The company began as Standard Oil of New Jersey but eventually became known as Esso ("Eastern States Standard Oil"). In the past, the company has also branched into other areas, including tires & batteries (under the name Atlas), kerosene, service stations and more. In modern times, Esso is a trading name for ExxonMobil and its related companies. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a great image of the Esso mascot with his hat in hand, hugging a fox wearing a racing cap, and the tagline translates to "Real car foxes drive Esso!" Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has a tiny pinhole in each corner and a piece of tape on the back of the upper left border, where there were some tiny tears.
