The war was over -- and the world's greatest flyers had never met in combat. But Waldo was going to change all that -- even if it killed him."; "Story by George Roy Hill"; "Screenplay by William Goldman"; about a biplane pilot, who had missed out flying in World War I, that takes up barnstorming and later a movie career in his quest for his missed glory, eventually getting a chance to prove himself in a movie depicting the dogfights in the Great War) starring Robert Redford (in the title role as Waldo Pepper), Bo Svenson, Susan Sarandon (in one of her earliest roles, right before she appeared in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"!), Margot Kidder, Bo Brundin, and Geoffrey Lewis
