An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) The Second Floor Mystery, the 1930 Roy Del Ruth romantic murder mystery comedy ("Featuring Hollywood's Most Romantic Couple"; "Based on the novel 'The Agony Column' by Earl Derr Biggers"; a very clever story of an American man vacationing in London, who notices a young woman who won't pay attention to him, but he sees she reads the personal ads every day, so he puts in a personal ad that she responds to, and then he starts corresponding with her about a fictional murder he supposedly witnessed, but then things get really complicated when the person he was describing is actually murdered!) starring Grant Withers, Loretta Young (in one of her earliest starring roles), H.B. Warner, Claire McDowell, and Sidney Bracey. Note that author Earl Derr Biggers is far better remembered for being the creator of Charlie Chan! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Most half-sheet posters were folded once horizontally and once vertically right off of the printing press.
