An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Robin Hood, the 1922 Allan Dwan silent medieval romantic fantasy adventure melodrama ("Story by Elton Thomas"; based on ancient English legends) starring Douglas Fairbanks Sr. (in the title role as Robin Hood), Alan Hale Sr. (as Little John), Wallace Beery (as King Richard the Lion-Hearted), Sam De Grasse (as Prince John), Enid Bennett (as Lady Marian), William Lowery (as the Sheriff of Nottingham), Willard Louis (as Friar Tuck) and Bud Geary (as Will Scarlett). Of course, this movie was remade in 1938 with Errol Flynn in the lead role, and the movie was retitled to "The Adventures of Robin Hood" (and Alan Hale Sr. amazingly reprises his role of Little John, 16 years after the first time he played the role).

Important Added Info: Note that this card looks like it could have been trimmed, BUT IT HAS NOT BEEN TRIMMED! At this time, United Artists experimented with creating lobby cards with a "full bleed", meaning that the images ran to the edge of the card on two borders. The card measures the full 11" x 14"!

Condition: very good to fine. There are some faint scuffs scattered in the card and there is a tiny oval area in the middle left (in the wall next to the curtain) where the coating of the paper was not applied correctly (this was a very minor printing defect). Otherwise, the card is in amazing condition, and it is not at all fragile!
