An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

The Old Homestead, the 1922 James Cruze silent family relationship stolen money melodrama ("In Theodore Roberts Uncle Josh lives again"; "Adapted from Denman Thompson's play by Perley Poore Sheehan and Frank Woods"; about a kindly old man whose nephew is accused of stealing money, and he mortgages his farm to cover his nephew's loss, and he risks losing it, but in the end everything works out alright) starring Theodore Roberts, George Fawcett, T. Roy Barnes, Harrison Ford (not the same Harrison Ford that we know as an actor today, but a very popular leading man of the 1920s), and Fritzi Ridgeway. Note that this was a very popular play that was filmed four different times, once before this version, and twice after.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The card is fragile and was folded across the middle and there is separation and paper loss on that fold, and some stains, pinholes, and paper loss around the edges. The poster is in urgent need of expert professional restoration. But the poster is mostly "all there", and after paperbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look fantastic, and it will likely require little paint restoration within the image.
