An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Mysterious Stranger, the 1925 Jack Nelson silent action melodrama ("$600 reward [in gold]"; "The Mysterious Stranger is coming"; written by James Bell Smith) starring Richard Talmadge, Josef Swickard, Carmelita Geraghty, Sheldon Lewis, Duane Thompson, and Stepin Fetchit. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Note that Richard Talmadge was born "Sylvester Alphonse Metz", and he was an acrobat with the Barnum and Bailey Circus. He got a job in Hollywood as a stuntman for Douglas Fairbanks Sr., and then graduated to starring in movies, always performing lots of stunts. He had two acrobat brothers, Otto Metzetti and Victor Metz, who appeared with him in some of his movies. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
