Pagan splendors!..."; "Love-Sacrifice to a Heathen Man-God!"; "Scores of gorgeous aqua-cuties... slaves to a villainous idol's will!"; "Original story and screen play by Carroll Young"; "Based upon the characters created by Edgar Rice Burroughs") starring Johnny Weissmuller (in the title role as Tarzan), Brenda Joyce (as Jane), Linda Christian (billed as "introducing Linda Christian"), George Zucco, and Andrea Palma. Note that Maureen O'Sullivan tired of playing Jane in the Tarzan movies, and in 1943, two Tarzan movies were made with no Jane at all, and in 1945, she was replaced by Brenda Joyce, who played the role in five movies. Note also that this auction also includes the printed envelope this item originally came with! Condition: good to very good. Each of the scene cards has a crease at lower left (generally in between the words "TARZAN" and "JOHNNY") that has been slightly touched up (see our image) and a few have some small pinholes around the edges. The title card has some pinholes and faint stains around the edges, and someone covered portions of them with white paint at lower center and lower and upper right. The rare complete set is otherwise in generally nice condition, but please bear in mind the above condition description and see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid.
