The Rocking Horse Winner, the classic 1949 (released in the U.S. in 1950) Anthony Pelissier English fantasy horse racing sports gambling family melodrama ("Exciting as your wildest dreams!"; "From the short story by D.H. Lawrence"; about a boy receives a rocking horse as a Christmas present and then discovers that he now has the ability to always pick the winning horse, but it doesn't help his family) starring Valerie Hobson ("[By Permission of Constellation Films]"), John Howard Davies, Ronald Squire, John Mills, and Hugh Sinclair
