Josie and the Pussycats, the 2001 Deborah Kaplan & Harry Elfont pop music rock comedy ("Based on characters appearing in Archie Comics"; "Here kitty, kitty, kitty...") starring Rachel Leigh Cook (in the title role as Josie McCoy), Tara Reid, Rosario Dawson, Alan Cumming, Gabriel Mann, Paulo Costanzo, Missi Pyle, and Parker Posey. Note that this live action movie was based on the 1970s animated cartoons, which themselves were based on an Archie comic book.
