It's a spectacle light years ahead of its time from 20th Century Fox."; "Written and Directed by George Lucas"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Peter Cushing (as Grand Moff Tarkin), Alec Guinness (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Obi-Wan Kenobi), Anthony Daniels (as C-3PO), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), David Prowse (billed as "Dave Prowse"; as the man inside the Darth Vader suit!), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), and Phil Brown (as Uncle Owen) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Tom Jung Important Added Info: Note that, due to the immense popularity of this movie, there were FOUR different printings of this "style A" one-sheet poster! The first printing (the poster offered here) has the original NSS number of 77-21-0, while the next three printings have the 77-21 NSS number. The first three printings all have "Style A" printed in the bottom border, while the fourth printing does not. There are also reproductions of this poster, but the poster offered here is an original! Also note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box at lower left. Condition: good to very good. The poster has fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). It also has some tiny creases in the right half of the top and bottom horizontal folds and in the top quarter of the vertical fold, with paper loss in the center of the top blank border. It had staple holes around the edges and someone put small pieces of tape on the back of each pair of staple holes. There is also a 4" tear in the right of the top border that has tape on the back of it, and slight touch up to the front of the tear where there was surface paper loss (the same person also performed slight touch up to the front of the staple holes that have tape on the back). The poster displays pretty well as it is, and certainly it can be backed, but bear the defects in mind before placing a bid on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
