An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Truxton King, the 1923 Jerome Storm silent medieval romantic royalty adventure melodrama ("I saw a pair of Mysterious Eyes watching the Prince!"; based on the book "by George Barr McCutcheon"; about an American who visits the mythical kingdom of Graustark, and at first is thought a spy, but ends up saving the child prince from assassination, and wins the love of the boy's aunt; it sounds like a combination of "The Adventures of Robin Hood" and "The Court Jester") starring John Gilbert (in the title role as Truxton King), Ruth Clifford, Frank Leigh, Michael D. Moore, and Otis Harlan. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny paper loss in the center of the top and middle horizontal folds. There were many areas of paper loss down the left border, slightly extending into the image, and some areas of paper loss around the other edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed on to a very thin linen, with little restoration. If I owned this cool poster (note the great blue face looking in the window!), I would surely have it re-backed by a top professional. Other than replacing the missing border areas, the image area would not require very much paint restoration. Learn More about condition grades
