Sylvan Simon south-of-the-border romantic musical screwball comedy ("The Daffy-Dilly Jubilee of Mirth and Music!"; "Special Material by John Grant"; about not very bright entertainers at a Mexican resort, and they meet Nazi agents who try to trick them into smuggling contraband into the U.S.) starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Kathryn Grayson (in the title role as Rita Winslow), John Carroll, Patricia Dane, Tom Conway, Peter Whitney, Eros Volusia (a sexy Brazilian dancer; as herself), and Joan Valerie. Note that the contract that Abbott & Costello had signed with Universal allowed them to make one movie a year at a different studio, and this movie was made with MGM (they made two other MGM movies in 1944 and 1945). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. The title card has some surface paper loss in Abbott's face at left and someone touched up those areas with colored pencil (and some tinier areas as well). Most have pinholes and/or other minor border defects. The card with the dancers has discoloration scattered in various areas (see our image). The one with Lou with his arms outstretched has some slight discoloration on back but it has little or no effect on the front. The card pictured to the right of the title card has staining at lower left and a tack hole in the star's mouth at top.
