The window card had a blank top that was trimmed off and there were many stains and areas of surface paper loss scattered throughout the card, with many pinholes tears, and surface paper loss around the edges. Overall, the window card was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed given its large number of defects, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that the restorer chose to linenback this window card, rather than the usual paperbacking, and they left an excess 1" all around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
