An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) This Is America: Campus Boom, Campus Boom, the 1947 RKO "This is America" college attendance documentary short ("A new release every 4 weeks"; produced by Frederic Ullman Jr.; this was No. 3 in the 5th series). This short addressed the huge increases in attendance at colleges throughout America, thanks to the many veterans attending college under the G.I. Bill. Note that this is one of the "This is America" series of documentary short subjects distributed by RKO between 1933 and 1951 (at least). If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, pinholes in the corners, and minor fold and border wear. The entire poster had darkened slightly. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
