Charming!"; "Paramount Talking Picture"; based on the play by George Middleton & A.E. Thomas; about a wealthy American chewing gum manufacturer and his beautiful daughter, and they visit France, where she falls in love with a dashing tour guide, and she tries to convince her father to let her bring him back to the U.S. and work in the factory!) starring Maurice Chevalier (billed as "The star of 'The Love Parade' and 'Innocents of Paris'"; nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Claudette Colbert, George Barbier, Marion Ballou, Andree Corday, and Frank Lyon. Note that this is the first of Chevalier's films to have both a French and English version. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. It has no markings to indicate it, but it looks very similar to deluxe English stills from this time (they were not yet called "front of house lobby cards"), but we are not marking it as English, because we cannot be for certain. Condition: good to very good. There are creases above the Paramount logo. There is a tack hole in each corner, with a few faint scuffs and smudges around the edges.
