An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" [20 x 24 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Betty Grable was an actress from the 1930s to the 1950s, often appearing in romantic musicals. Some of her movies include: Million Dollar Legs, Tin Pan Alley, Moon Over Miami, and Down Argentine Way. She is perhaps best remembered for her famous sexy legs, and one of her pin-up images, which was one of the absolute most popular ones displayed by soldiers during World War II (at one time, her legs were insured for $1,000,000 by Lloyds of London!). She was married to actor Jackie Coogan, and then later to bandleader Harry James (with whom she had two children). She passed away in 1973 at the age of 56 from lung cancer. Important Added Info: Note that this great still of Betty Grable has a wonderful provenance! It was consigned to us by the granddaughter of the lady who ran the Betty Grable fan club in the 1950s, and she developed a close friendship with Ms. Grable, and she was given a large number of first release stills (some personally autographed), and we are auctioning a few of this consignor's Betty Grable stills in this set of auctions. Also note that this still measures 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" [20 x 24 cm], but it does not appear to be trimmed. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
