An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Bright Lights, the 1930 Michael Curtiz New York City South Africa Broadway musical melodrama ("Story by Humphrey Pearson"; about a Broadway stage star giving her final performance and retiring, and the movie flashbacks to how she started as a cabaret singer in South Africa, including performing with mock South Seas cannibals; this was one of the very early sound musicals, and the flimsy plot was just there to connect the series of enjoyable musical numbers) starring Dorothy Mackaill, Frank Fay, Noah Beery Sr., Daphne Pollard, and James Murray. This movie was filmed in two-strip Technicolor, but sadly no Technicolor print of this has survived, only a black and white version.
