Tallas Pathe science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy adventure thriller ("Savage struggle! Primitive passions! Deadly jealousy!"; "They feared No Beast Except... The Beast in Men!"; "in Cinecolor"; "Original Screenplay by Sam X. Abarbanel and Gregg Tallas") starring Laurette Luez, Allan Nixon, Mara Lynn, David Vaile, Joan Shawlee, Jo Carroll Dennison (she was Miss America in 1942, and had a few film parts afterwards, but by the time of this picture, her career was clearly winding down), and Johann Petursson (billed in the publicity as "the world's tallest man" at 8'2", but he was actually nearly a foot shorter, as was typical with "giants" at that time) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Martine Beswick! There is a funny story about this pressbook. This is from the 1950 version of this movie, and Miss Beswick was in a 1966 movie of the same name. Our consignor brought this to her at a convention to sign, and she was too much of a lady to tell him that she wasn't in the movie, so she signed it anyway! Our consignor obtained this autograph in person at a collectibles show (Monster Bash). While he does not have a "certificate of authenticity", we are certain it is authentic. Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Finally, note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!
