An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) The Strong Man, the 1926 Frank Capra silent romantic weightlifting slapstick comedy ("5,000,000. laughs to anyone who can match the comedy strength of--Harry--the Strong Man"; with Harry Langdon, who was a World War I veteran who had a correspondence with a blind girl, and he returns to the U.S. searching for her, and during his travels, he becomes the assistant to a famous German weightlifter "Zandow the Great", and as the circus travels, he shows everyone the girl's picture hoping to find her) starring Harry Langdon, Arthur Thalasso, Priscilla Bonner, Gertrude Astor, and William V. Mong. Note that this was Frank Capra's first real movie as a director (four years earlier, he had directed a short)! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of the still, and then folded over to the front. This was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby (and of course, the snipe would be folded backwards, so it would not show). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, THE SNIPE DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE FRONT OF THE STILL! Condition: very good to fine. There is a tiny chip in the bottom right blank corner and some tiny creases in the bottom left blank corner, but otherwise, the still is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
