Note that the sheath dress that Rita Hayworth wears in the movie (designed by Jean Louis) certainly contributed greatly to the popularity of this movie! Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this Argentinean poster, and that was 12 years ago, when it sold for $813g. That example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases, scuffs, tiny tears, and tiny areas of paper loss on parts of some foldlines. There were some faint smudges scattered throughout the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty nicely backed, but the restorer did not address the faint smudges scattered throughout (but they are truthfully not all that distracting). Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
