Date Sold 11/22/2022 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Cards (WC; measures 14" x 16" [36 x 41 cm]) (Learn More) Broadminded (Broad Minded), the 1931 Mervyn LeRoy romantic love triangle screwball comedy ("Story by Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby"; "Half Man Half Mouth!"; about a rich young man who is a playboy, and his father sends him to California to straighten out, but he romances every woman he meets along the way, and when he gets to California, he proposes to a woman, only to have his jilted sweetheart show up) starring Joe E. Brown, Ona Munson, William Collier Jr., Marjorie White, Holmes Herbert, Margaret Livingston, Thelma Todd, Bela Lugosi, and Grayce Hampton. Note that this was one of four movies Bela Lugosi made in 1931 after he made Dracula, but those four movies were finished before Dracula became a major hit, and so he is seventh billed, and not mentioned or shown on any of the advertising, except for a few stills and perhaps a lobby card or two. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this auction is for two window cards from the same movie. Each was trimmed by 6", but very fortunately, one was trimmed from the top, and one was trimmed from the bottom, so while they both measure 14" x 16" [36 x 41 cm], there is a complete image between the two! So one might combine the two into a single complete window card that is joined below brown's chin, using the excess from the other card to complete the one with most of the top of the card. Of course, that will be the choice of the winner of this auction. Condition: fair to good. Both cards were trimmed to 14" x 16", but they make a complete card between them (see above).
