Appears in Vintage Hollywood Posters 7 CATALOG SOLD OUT The image at right appears in the auction catalog we published as shown above and was sold long ago and we do NOT have it available for purchase. An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) They Learned About Women, the 1930 Jack Conway & Sam Wood musical romantic love triangle baseball sports vaudeville melodrama ("ALL TALKING"; a wacky story of two baseball stars on the same team who start a vaudeville act after they win the World Series, but then women trouble breaks them up, but they reunite just in time to win the next World Series) starring Gus Van, Joseph T. Schenck (billed collectively as "Van & Schenck"), Bessie Love, J.C. Nugent, Benny Rubin, and Mary Doran NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). good. The borders of the poster were somewhat tattered, and new paper has been expertly placed over the old blank borders (but not the small writing at bottom). It was wonderfully done, and I doubt many people could tell unless it was specifically shown to them. There were many tears and creases in the lower left of the image area and some tears extending up the left side of the image to the woman's waist. The poster had odd horizontal foldlines, one ran through the waist of the batter at right and there is small paper loss in that area. There was a 6" tear with tiny paper loss that ran into the head of the batter at right. There were a few other defects within the image area. The poster had really wonderful expert restoration, and looks great now since most of the defects within the image area were tears and creases, there is not much actual missing artwork that needed to be replaced.
