An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Silver River, the 1948 Raoul Walsh cowboy western casino gambling romantic love triangle Civil War era melodrama ("He gambles his life for a city of silver... And the lips of its golden-haired queen!"; "From a novel by Stephen Longstreet"; not really a western, about a bad man who is kicked out of the Union army in the Civil War, and he becomes a gambler, and he has an employee with a beautiful wife, so, much like David and Bathsheba, he arranged to have the man in a dangerous situation, and he is killed, and he weds the widow, but she learns the truth about him, and he must try to change his ways to win her back) starring Errol Flynn, Ann Sheridan, Thomas Mitchell, Bruce Bennett, Tom D'Andrea, Barton MacLane, Monte Blue, Jonathan Hale, and Al Bridge NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a great image of Errol Flynn holding a poker hand and preparing to bet a huge stack of money (and apparently his life!) on his hand! Condition: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and fine surface paper loss on parts of most foldlines. There were pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was oddly backed, because the restorer did some restoration to the poster, but left alone most of the fine surface paper loss on the foldlines. If I owned this cool poster, I would give it to a restorer, and I think it is likely they could touch up the foldlines without re-backing the poster, and afterwards, the poster will look great!
