An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Big Shakedown, the 1934 John Francis Dillon romantic racketeer crime melodrama (set right after Prohibition was repealed, about a pharmacist who goes into business with a racketeer, making medicines homemade and then packaging them as name brands, and they get rich, but then when the pharmacist wants to quit, the racketeer threatens his wife, but when his wife loses their baby after taking one of their bogus medicines, the pharmacist has had enough) starring Charles Farrell, Bette Davis, Ricardo Cortez, Glenda Farrell, Allen Jenkins, Henry O'Neill, Dewey Robinson, and John Wray NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned three different lobby cards and a handful of stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this fourth lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There are a few creases, tiny bits of surface paper loss, and faint smudges around the edges, mostly only affecting the blank borders. There is a fine pencil mark in the top right background that runs into the "S" of the title. Otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
