An Original 1948 (from the first release of this movie in Austria) Vintage Austrian Film Program (measures 6" x 8 1/4" [15 x 21 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Babes in Arms, the 1939 Busby Berkeley romantic juvenile let's-put-on-a-show musical ("The Big Musical Fun Show!"; "Based on the play by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart"; Mickey is the son of vaudevillians who want to put on a traveling show that will bring back vaudeville, but Mickey and Judy organize their own show, with "modern" songs, and with no money for staging, they put on an incredible show!) starring Mickey Rooney (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Judy Garland, Charles Winninger, Guy Kibbee, June Preisser, Grace Hayes, Betty Jaynes, Douglas McPhail, Rand Brooks, Leni Lynn, and Johnny Sheffield (billed as "John Sheffield"). This is one of the absolute best "let's put on a show" musicals of the 1930s or 1940s, which is not surprising, since it combines the talents of Rodgers & Hart, Busby Berkeley, and Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland! Important Added Info: Note that this movie was released in 1948 through the MPEA, which distributed movies in Germany, Japan, and Austria right after World War II until 1950 (a lot of the people who went to those movies were U.S. servicemen stationed in those countries). Note that we have provided an image of all the pages of this 4-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and the interior two pages together). This way, you see the entire program, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image.
