Date Sold 11/20/2014Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 16" [36 x 41 cm]) (Learn More) Key to the City, the 1950 George Sidney romantic politics marriage comedy ("They click like a key in a lock!"; "MGM's riotous romance!"; "Based on a story by Albert Beich"; Gable and Young are both mayors of different cities, and they meet, and he wins her over, despite her objections) starring Clark Gable, Loretta Young, Frank Morgan (in his final movie role), Marilyn Maxwell, James Gleason, Lewis Stone, Raymond Walburn, and Raymond Burr NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: The window card originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this was commonly done with window cards, when the top had been left blank, or when someone had hand-scrawled play date information in that area). Most collectors do not consider it to be a significant defect at all, since only blank white paper is lost, and the window card becomes easier to frame. Note that the window card was folded down the center at one time. Because it would not fit in our standard sized package even if it were re-folded, we don't want to re-fold the window card prior to mailing, and we believe that re-folding the window card would lessen its condition (we never roll window cards into a tube). If you specifically request it, we will re-fold this window card, but you will not be able to return it. Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades
