An Original Vintage Theatrical Italian Movie Lobby Card (Italian LC; measures 13 1/4" x 19 1/2" [34 x 50 cm]) (Learn More) Un pilota ritorna (released in English-speaking countries as "A Pilot Returns"), the 1942 Roberto Rossellini Italian World War II (WWII) military airplane aviation romantic melodrama (about an Italian World War II pilot who is shot down by the British, and he is imprisoned in a POW camp, where he falls in love, and he then escapes and makes it back to Italy just as Greece is surrendering) starring Massimo Girotti, Michela Belmonte, Gaetano Masier, Piero Lulli, and Elvira Betrone. Note that this movie was made in Italy during World War II, and that the Fascists are the heroes, and the English are the villains! The director was Roberto Rossellini, who would go on to great fame after the war, and the script was written by the son of Italy's dictator, Vittorio Mussolini! Also note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid.
