Auction History Result GERALDINE ('29) 3sh Date Sold 9/1/1997Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Three-Sheet Movie Poster (Learn More) Geraldine, the 1929 Melville Brown romantic love triangle melodrama ("A story of glorious buoyant youth by Booth Tarkington"; "A picture of glorious youth and the glamour of life's springtime"; about a rich father with a plain daughter who hires a man to turn his daughter into a girl that men will want; the man succeeds too well, because he falls in love with her himself) starring Eddie Quillan, Marian Nixon (in the title role as Geraldine), Gaston Glass, and Albert Gran. Note that this movie was "supervised by Paul Bern", who, in one of Hollywood's most bizarre episodes ever (which is saying a lot!), married the much young Jean Harlow in 1932 and then shot himself after their honeymoon, apologizing for "a frightful wrong" in a suicide note! It has been rumored that he was actually murdered, and the suicide was a coverup by MGM "fixers"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: No condition recorded.
