eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 3h874 WILD JUSTICE LC '25 c/u of Peter the Great German Shepherd dog between Greenwood & Teague! Date Sold 7/12/2011Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Wild Justice, the 1925 Chester M. Franklin silent canine dog German Shepherd adventure thriller starring Peter the Great, George Sherwood, Frank Hagney, and Frances Teague. Note that Peter the Great would seem to have been a Rin Tin Tin imitator, but he actually made his debut as a puppy one year before Rin Tin Tin did. Peter appeared in five movies, and might well have challenged Rin Tin Tin's popularity, but tragically, he was shot and killed in 1926 at the height of his career (eerily, the poster for "Wild Justice" shows a man drawing a gun, about to shoot Peter the Great!). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Condition: fair to good. There is ink staining on the back of the upper half of the card, extending down the edge of the right border, that has slightly bled through to the front in the top left and lower right borders. The ink staining has also caused the top half of the card to be lightly rippled, but that is more felt than seen. There is pencil writing in the bottom border. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
