An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Gilding the Lily, the 1937 David Miller comedy spoof (likely of "The Gilded Lily", which was made in 1935; "A Pete Smith Specialty") narrated by Pete Smith (note that Smith first started producing short subjects in 1931, when they were referred to as "Pete Smith Specialties"; he made an astounding 155 of these over the next 24 years, narrating 135 of them, and sometimes he was billed as "a Smith named Pete"; the shorts covered a wide range of unusual subjects, kind of like "Ripley's Believe It or Not"). There is 3" of separation and some small tears in the top of the vertical foldline and separation and small paper loss at the top crossfold. There are pinholes in the corners and some minor fold and border wear, but overall, the poster is in pretty nice condition, and after a simple linenbacking, it will look great!
