An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Danish Movie Poster (measures 24 3/4" x 33 1/2" [63 x 85 cm]) (Learn More) L'Affaire Du Courrier De Lyon (literally translates to "Mail From The Affair In Lyon"), the 1937 Claude Autant-Lara & Maurice Lehmann French historical mistaken identity murder melodrama (based on a true story from 1796, about a man who is mistakenly accused of robbing a stagecoach and killing the driver because he looks like the real criminal, and he is tried and witnesses identify him, and his wife tries to save him, but he is sentenced to the guillotine; at the end, the "man" is shown being beheaded, but it is revealed that it is a recreation in a wax museum, where the judge in the case is watching the recreation, and is sad because he knows an innocent man was executed!) starring Pierre Blanchar, Dita Parlo (she was a sexy German actress of the late 1920s who had great success in two French movies, "L'Atalante" in 1934 and "La Grande Illusion" in 1937; she came to the United States, and was going to be in Orson Welles' version of Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness", but that movie fell through; she is idolized by Madonna!), Jacques Copeau, Charles Dullin, Sylvia Bataille, and Helene Robert.
