Date Sold 4/7/2009Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Overland Mail Robbery, the 1943 John English romantic stagecoach cowboy western ("Original story by Robert Yost") starring William 'Wild Bill' Elliott, George 'Gabby' Hayes, Alice Fleming (cast as the leader of the outlaw gang, very rare in B-westerns!), Weldon Heyburn, and Anne Jeffreys NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster had creases and horizontal tears down much of the vertical foldline, with tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. There were pinholes and tiny areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster and some stains in parts of the borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above (but any restorer could likely touch them up without re-backing the poster).
