A Matted Original Vintage Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Stage Play Still (entire display measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Dark is Light Enough, the 1955 Guthrie McClintic Broadway Austro-Hungarian revolution comedy stage play revival (written by Christopher Fry; originally staged in London) starring Katharine Cornell, Tyrone Power, Arnold Moss, John Williams, Dario Barri, and Eva Condon Important Added Info: Note that this vintage 8x10 stage play still has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Katharine Cornell AND Tyrone Power! It was glued to a heavy board and then a mat was placed over it, and the entire display is ready to frame and hang on the wall! Also note that the item comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from R&R Enterprises. Note that this is one of a wonderful collection of 91 items that were assembled by a collector decades ago, mostly from RR Auctions, which has auctioned signed items since 1976. The person who purchased these items passed away several years ago, and while he did not save most of the certificates of authenticity he received when he bought these signed items, almost all were purchased between the late 1970s and the early 1990s, and we think it is certain that the autograph on this item is genuine. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good to very good. Apparently, Mr. Power's pen was starting to run out of ink when he got to the end of his name, because there is some ink missing from the last letters (see our image). The still is glued to a heavy backing board, which was then glued to a mat. It will display well on the new owner's wall, but bear in mind these condition issues before bidding on it.
