An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Mexican Movie Poster (measures approximately 27" x 37" [69 x 94 cm]) (Learn More) El Lobo Solitario (literally translates to "The Lone Wolf"), the 1952 Vicente Orona Mexican masked hero cowboy western melodrama (about a man who tracks down the gang that killed his father) starring Dagoberto Rodriguez (in the title role as El Lobo), Flor Silvestre, Arturo Martinez, Rosa de Castilla, Federico Curiel, and Aurora Walker. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie! Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had an extra vertical fold next to the regular one, with some small tears and tiny bits of paper loss in that area. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Also, there is light black printing over part of the title area, and this is surely some sort of printing defect or ink transfer, but we have no idea how it occurred.
